Pasture, Rangeland, Forage (PRF)
Pasture, Rangeland, Forage (RI-PRF) is a federally reinsured product that provides protection against a single peril – lack of precipitation. Coverage can be purchased by landlords, tenants, and owner/operators for those acres important to their haying or grazing operation. Producers may select from a variety of coverage levels, productivity factors, and two-month index intervals to personalize their plan. The Rainfall Index program uses weather data collected by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to determine rainfall levels. When the final grid index falls below your trigger grid index, you may receive an indemnity.
Livestock Risk Protection (LRP)
LRP provides single-peril price risk protection by paying livestock producers if a national cash price index falls below an insured coverage price level.
Annual Forage (AF)
The Annual Forage Insurance Plan is designed to meet the needs of producers planting annual forage crops for use such as livestock feed or fodder. This includes, but is not limited to, grazing, haying, grazing/haying, grain/grazing, green chop, grazing/green chop, or silage.
Crop Insurance
There are many types of crop insurance policies and policy options. These policies have improved over time, making the final coverage decision more complex. Having an AgRisk advisor on your team makes those decisions easier.
